I am glad you found my question in internet banking so amusing. I am constantly getting bogus emails pretending to be banks asking me to update personal details. I also get bogus credit card emails, paypal emails etc. I have genuine concerns about the security features on Irish online banking websites. I lived in Germany for a number of years and over there they use a hand held device similar to a calculator to authorise a transaction. Its called 'Transaction authentication number' or TAN is used by some online banking services, some ban even send it via sms. You have to be very careful as malware programs can install themselves on your pc or browser and log all your actions, its known as keylogging.
