When will the European Central Bank cut interest rates?
I know the ECB's main concern is inflation but the Federal Reserve has cut rates a number of times now. I don't know whether to fix my mortgage or not. In Personal Finance Asked by quest 2 answers (0 videos | 0 audios) 205 Views 1 month ago Resolved |

I just heard on the news that the ECB may raise interest rates when they meet next month. I sounds mad as Europe is definitely heading into a recession. Answered by elite 1 month ago

Well, according to Bank of Ireland’s chief economist, Dr Dan McLaughlin - the ECB will cut rates to 3.5% in 2008. Its hard to say exactly when, but some ECB council members have lately voiced concern about the outlook for growth and the need for the ECB. As soon as inflation shows signs of dropping, I suspect they will cut rate to prevent Europe from going into recession. Answered by menuman 1 month ago
